Impact Executives Present at ITEX 2018 Convention

May 15, 2018

Lake Forest, IL – Impact’s Chief Technology Officer, Frank DeGeorge, Vice President of Managed IT, Patrick Layton and Illinois General Sales Manager & Partner, Cory Carnes will be presenting at the annual @ITEX Convention in Las Vegas for a three-day conference entitled “Own the Office, Piece by Piece.” ITEX brings together business solutions providers in the field of office technology for an exchange of information, ideas and innovation.

The theme of ITEX 2018 presents Impact with the perfect opportunity to showcase our partnerships with cloud-based document management provider DocuWare, IT-as-a-Service provider Nerdio and Compass Sherpa sales solutions.  These partnerships help Impact provide clients with industry-leading solutions and have enabled Impact to transition from focusing solely on digital imaging equipment sales to diversifying and expanding into a full managed services provider. Each Impact executive is speaking on behalf of their partner organization to an audience of dealers, giving Impact a platform to demonstrate its industry leadership and one source model. It also gives Impact a chance to discuss the transition of becoming a managed services provider. All three Impact executives have been invited to ITEX 2018 to share their expertise working with these vendor partners, and offer actionable steps to dealers on how they can grow and evolve their dealership by diversifying their products and solutions.

Impact Illinois General Manager & Partner, Cory Carnes has seen Impact undergo incredible change in his 15 years with the company. Carnes will speak on behalf of Compass Sherpa sales solutions at ITEX and share how moving to a managed services provider business model encouraged Impact to evolve their sales strategy. “Focusing on selling managed services has meant we’ve had to evolve our compensation plans, quotas and sales tools, like Compass CRM to better align and support selling a more diversified set of solutions. My session will be geared toward helping dealers understand and adopt successful sales strategies as they move toward a monthly recurring revenue model.”

Impact Chief Technology Officer, Frank DeGeorge will be hosting a joint presentation with Thomas Schneck, President of DocuWare, a leading cloud-based document management and workflow automation platform. Impact is a longstanding channel partner of DocuWare, and has been named the largest reseller in North and South America by a significant margin. “Adopting a Document Management solution into our portfolio has allowed us to better understand our customers, gain traction in a crucial segment, and have a greater impact on the success of our client’s overall digital transformation goals. I am excited to share with other dealers the opportunities that surround document management.”

Vice President of Managed IT, Patrick Layton joined Impact in 2014 and launched a Managed IT solution for clients. To date, he oversees 70 dedicated IT employees in 16 different Midwest and West Coast locations. Layton and his team have seen great success aligning themselves with Nerdio, a cloud-based IT solutions, and will be speaking on their behalf at ITEX. “Partnering with Nerdio has been a great decision for Impact. Nerdio’s IT-as-a-Service solution is flexible, secure and easy to deploy, and our partnership has empowered us to build a competitive Managed IT solution that we can offer to our clients.”

ITEX 2018 takes place from May 15th – May 17th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This will be the 17th ITEX conference, and it has already been hailed as a completely revamped and comprehensive experience that rivals any past ITEX conference. For more information, visit
