July 8, 2002
Kyocera Mita KM-4850w
Fairfield, New Jersey, July 8, 2002—The KM-4850w was awarded a "Show Stopper Award" by the Editor's of CADENCE magazine at the AEC Systems 2002 show on June 4 through 6 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The A/E/C systems show is one of the premier shows attended by CAD professionals from various industries involved in generating large format output.
According to CADENCE, this award is based on their editors spending a day attending demos on the show floor. They base their selections on the quality and thoroughness of the demos and innovativeness of the products being shown, with particular attention to those products the editors feel are doing the most to move the CAD industry forward.
The wording of the award reads as follows: "For those offices that have neither the space nor the thick wallet for the large fast KIP 8000, Kyocera has recently entered the U.S. plotter market, and its first all-in-one unit is petite enough to fit into almost any nook or cranny (it will fit in the same space as a DesignJet). It can scan, print, and copy—and at about $35,000, its 6 D-size-a-minute speed should also meet most smaller architectural shops' needs".
More detailed information about the awards can be found on the CADENCE magazine web site http://www.cadenceweb.com/news/archive/2002/0605aecsys.html.
