June 1, 2002
Excerpt from the 2002 OPA MFP Reliability Survey
In the first annual MFP reliability issue of the Office Products Analyst (OPA), Kyocera Mita (KMA) received the highest overall ratings. In this issue of the OPA, interviews were conducted with 137 service managers in copier dealerships nationwide, representing a total 60,428 installed MFPs. Ratings were compiled using a scale of one to ten with "ten" being the highest possible rating. We then converted the ratings into percentages. Out of 15 categories, technicians gave KMA highest ratings in 13 of 15 categories, including Product Reliability (9.1), General Ease of Maintenance (8.9), Copy and Print Image Quality (8.9, 8.9) and an overall rating of (8.7). Congratulations to KMA for an outstanding showing in this year's survey.
